Climbing Fitness Challenge The Internet is Doing
So this morning I saw a video of the new climbing fitness challenge, courtesy of INSIDER. And, since I was… once upon a time a “pretty good” climber, I just had to try it right away.
The climbing fitness challenge is to “Climb Underneath Your Table” and it involves just that. This challenge started among climbers and “boulderers” but any one can try it. All you need is a sturdy table, and yes it must be sturdy! You start on top of your table, and must climb underneath it and then back up onto it WITHOUT touching the floor. It is recommended you have a strong table. I can’t wait to see all the FAIL videos of people crashing their fold out tables.
The climbing fitness challenge is definitely a challenge as you can see in the video my jiggly puffs bouncing around and can hear me breathing hard as if I’m taking a dump. One must have core strength, arm strength and surprisingly a bit of leg strength, both the climbing fitness challenger AND the table.
The challenge started among climbers, so I can say being a “climber” one time myself (as you can see in my form, that bomber mantle) I was able to successfully complete the challenge.
Does it still count that Ilana fed me a hot dog mid challenge? Probably not, since it is called the “Climbing FITNESS Challenge” right? Climbing is definitely a fun sport, and a great exercise. Other than raising my adrenaline levels and reducing my stress levels, when I was regularly climbing I was in the best shape I’ve ever been. Don’t judge me off of this video!
